This role is focused on managing the sales process and advancing profitable sales growth within an assigned market area for new Airgas customers. The manager is responsible for meeting and surpassing organizational and regional milestones for profitable sales growth, accounts receivable management, and customer retention within their assigned area.
- Develop and implement sales plans utilizing Airgas sales initiatives and guidelines to obtain orders and establish new accounts.
- Qualify and connect with sales leads.
- Nurture customer relationships by establishing a consultative relationship.
- Prepare sales proposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimating delivery dates.
- Keep current with industry insights and market trends.
- Collaborate with internal resources to accomplish success milestones.
- Maintain and submit sales reports as requested by District Manager through SAP.
- Actively review and manage accounts receivable balances.
- Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance as required by state of vehicle registration.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Suites.
- Minimum of 3 years of outside B2B sales experience with proven success in solution selling and managing customers within a defined territory.
- Knowledge of customer segmentation and ability to prioritize high‑value targets.
- Proven success using a consultative sales approach to provide multiple layers of value and establish a mix of sales solutions and products.
- Proven ability to use deep knowledge of customers and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases or background in industrial gas & welding supply sales.
- Experience with SAP.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years).
- Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000
- Base pay plus commission
- Monthly auto allowance
- Travel within assigned territory with minimal overnights
