Telecommunciations Installer Level III; Journeyman Electrician

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Perform system inspections and technical assessments to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective corrective solutions.
• Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and work orders to complete installations and repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate directly with customers to assess needs, provide technical recommendations, and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities, schedules, and project requirements.
• Select, install, and maintain electrical components such as wiring, receptacles, panel boards, switch gear, and switchboards.
• Supervise and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors performing installation or maintenance activities.
• Maintain required tools, equipment, and standard replacement parts to support efficient field operations.
• Monitor material usage and inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for ongoing work.
• Accurately document labor hours, materials, and project activities for reporting and cost tracking purposes.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Mentor and support apprentices and junior team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
• Serve as the company’s qualifying representative for electrical contractor licenses across multiple states.
• Travel 60% of the time, as required.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
• Valid state license permitting practice as a journeyman electrician.
• Four years of experience as an electrician.
• Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time with overnight stays.
• Ability and willingness to obtain Electrical Contractor Qualifier Licenses or reciprocity in multiple states as required for Omni On Power.

• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.

• Experience in telco, data center or other critical power facilities.

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Using a lifting technique to maneuver, install or remove 80–750 lb. batteries.
• Frequently pushing or pulling cables up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
• Frequently working/standing on ladders for extended periods.
• Continuous standing.
• Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level.
• Frequently bending, twisting or stooping.
• Frequently crouching or squatting.
• Will be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.
