Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Perform system inspections and technical assessments to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective corrective solutions.
- Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and work orders to complete installations and repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate directly with customers to assess needs, provide technical recommendations, and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities, schedules, and project requirements.
- Select, install, and maintain electrical components such as wiring, receptacles, panel boards, switch gear, and switchboards.
- Supervise and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors performing installation or maintenance activities.
- Maintain required tools, equipment, and standard replacement parts to support efficient field operations.
- Monitor material usage and inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for ongoing work.
- Accurately document labor hours, materials, and project activities for reporting and cost tracking purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
- Serve as the company’s qualifying representative for electrical contractor licenses across multiple states.
- Travel 60% of the time, as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
- Valid state license permitting practice as a journeyman electrician.
- Four years of experience as an electrician.
- Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time with overnight stays.
- Ability and willingness to obtain Electrical Contractor Qualifier Licenses or reciprocity in multiple states as required for Omni On Power.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Prior field engineering experience.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong project management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Experience in telco, data center or other critical power facilities.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Using a lifting technique to maneuver, install or remove 80–750 lb. batteries.
- Frequently pushing or pulling cables up to 60 lbs.
- Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
- Frequently working/standing on ladders for extended periods.
- Continuous standing.
- Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level.
- Frequently bending, twisting or stooping.
- Frequently crouching or squatting.
- Will be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.
