Critical Environments Operator III

Responsibilities

• Work under the Facility Manager to perform maintenance and operations in a 24/7/365 data center environment.
• Use the CMMS to track maintenance work, labor hours, preventive and reactive work orders.
• Apply SOPs, MOPS, EOPS, and MMRs for site operations and maintenance.
• Provide equipment and system operational modifications, including critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work area set‑up.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with company, government, and client policies.
• Respond to alarms and maintain the critical load, minimize system damage, and support root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for safe completion of maintenance and project work.
• Be available for emergency corrective maintenance and 24/7/365 support.

• Journeyman level skills in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R disciplines.
• 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data center operations or related building engineering roles.
• Proficiency with CMMS, subcontractor and vendor contract management, and key performance indicator reporting.
• Hands‑on ability with hand tools, test equipment, and maintenance shop practices for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new product skills and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to adjust hours, including onsite emergencies.
