Senior Mainframe Software Engineer – Java, COBOL, DB​/VSAM

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high volume production platforms in the Electronic Channel Applications domain of Institutional Technology.
• Engage collaboratively with systems and business partners to deliver high quality and innovative software solutions.
• Join agile teams working in a fast-paced environment, closely partnering with product, architecture, and other engineering teams.

• 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
• Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
• Knowledge of MQ would be nice to have
• Development expertise in Java
• Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
• Deploy and support software releases into production environments
• Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe
• You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
• Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus
• Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
• Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
