DRIVER LICENSING EXAMINER I (Job )$17.81/hour - $23.39/hour – 40-Hours/Week
This position offers a Trainee Status at the following pay rate: $17.19 per hour.
Summary:
Administers a variety of tests and driving skills examinations to applicants to ensure that only qualified individuals are issued operator driver licenses and motorcycle driver licenses. Reviews applicant information for consistency with applicable motor vehicle laws and administrative rules, to ensure that applicants are eligible to apply for and receive a New Hampshire driver license, non-driver identification card or other official document.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/
Experience:
Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in instruction, training, customer service, driving work or a related field.
License/Certification:
Valid driver's license
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
- Driving record must be free of motor vehicle violations that are determined by the Director of Motor Vehicles to be disqualifying.
- Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint-based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.
- Must be willing to attend additional training sessions to expand and maintain knowledge of Driver's License regulations.
- Must be able to travel throughout the state and work at various satellite offices and testing locations, as well as work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able and willing to wear seatbelt during all driving skills examinations.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule including, but not limited to, early morning, evening, and/or weekend hours.

AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
Continued employment is contingent upon successfully completing all aspects of the training program within the first 6 months of employment.
