Job SummaryThis position supports all projects in the Division of Academic Affairs, Workforce Development and Student Success through the active engagement with all elements of the project. It provides direct support to projects in the form of data collection and presentation, collecting through personal interaction and written communication needed information to move projects forward to completion. Project areas include enrollment tracking, assessment of student learning, student engagement and monitoring the curriculum process.
The director attends and arranges appropriate meetings with College departments for the purpose of information gathering and project communication to all involved areas. The incumbent will monitor project progress, provide technical, data and research support to all academic affairs projects. This position also provides direct research support to the senior vice president for academic affairs, workforce development and student success and will produce reports and presentations for the senior vice president.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with all College departments to support academic affairs projects.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (preferred) and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration strongly preferred.
Qualifications - ExperienceThree years’ experience in a complex organization with clear evidence of successful inter- and intra- departmental relationship building. Evidence of successful report writing and data analysis.
Qualifications - Skills- Mastery of MS Excel (compiling, manipulation of data, charts and graphs) (Microsoft Excel Certification preferred)
- Mastery of MS PowerPoint (and/or other presentation software)
- Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic statistics attained through academic coursework or experience
- Strong interpersonal and team skills required
- Excellent writing skills required
- Ability to think analytically
- Ability to work independently
