EOF Counselor II
Provides comprehensive personal, academic, career, and financial counseling and advisement to EOF students through individual and group sessions. Develops student success plans, makes appropriate referrals, and monitors student progress toward academic and personal goals. Coordinates and supports the EOF Summer Pre‑Freshman Program and workshops offered throughout the academic year, and maintains and updates program systems, including Blackboard resources, orientation modules, and student support materials.
Coordinates student engagement activities, including community involvement opportunities and participation in college‑wide initiatives, to strengthen student connection and sense of belonging. Supports recruitment efforts by engaging with high schools, community agencies, and local organizations to promote program awareness and participation, including conducting initial student interviews, reviewing applications, and assisting with the admissions process as needed. Implements retention initiatives that support student persistence, engagement, and completion, and contributes to program assessment, data collection, and the preparation of institutional and state‑required reports.
Collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus partners to support student success and program effectiveness, serves on college committees, and provides advisement to student groups as appropriate. Participates in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in student support and higher education.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience required;
Master’s preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of three years of counseling experience working with students facing financial or academic barriers. - Skills:
Must have strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, faculty, administrators, and parents both on and off campus; must possess a valid driver’s license; must have experience with productivity suites such as Google Workplace and MS Office 360.
