Job Summary
We are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies Department to teach MUS:251 Sound Reinforcement. This class introduces students to the set‑up and use of equipment for various live sound events ranging from musical performances to musical theater. Students learn first‑hand about sound system set‑up and operation. Sound Reinforcement provides students a well‑rounded and practical audio education that prepares them for professional work in the audio industry.
All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty teach assigned courses in alignment with the course description and course outlines established by the department. Sound Reinforcement sections run one day a week on Wednesday, 3:30-6:15pm, in the Fall semester.

Master’s Degree in Music required. - Experience
:
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Experience with sound reinforcement for music and dance concerts, speaking events, and musical theater. - Skills
:
Demonstrated knowledge of the discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to work with diverse groups of students. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
