ESL Non-Credit
- Workforce Development Instructor (Pooled Position)
Instructor responsibilities include creating and teaching coursesin English Language Learning for Workforce Development, Continuing Professional Education, from Early Beginner through Advancedstudents. Class schedules may include day, evening or weekendschedules.
Qualifications- Education
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in ESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, orrelated field. Professional designations or certifications as appropriate to content being taught required.
- Experience
- At least 1 year of classroom teaching experience withnon-traditional adult students preferred.
- 3+ years professional work experience in the subject matter.
- Skills
- Ability to work with all groups of students.
- Strong presentation,verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use technology in education.
- Bilingual/multi-lingual skills may be beneficialbased on students’ proficiency level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies inrelated field of specialization.
