Job SummaryWe are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Department of English and Communication to teach ENG
-111:
Composition I, which emphasizes the fundamentals of written communications including expository prose, reading comprehension and interpretation, and rhetorical modes. All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective tocreate a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students,while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty teach assigned courses in alignment with the course description andcourse outline established by the department. Composition Isections run two-days a week on Mon/Wed, Tue/Thu, Mon/Thu, andWed/Fri.
Daytime (between 8am-5pm) and evening sections (after 5pm) are available.
- Education
Master’s Degree in English is required. A doctorate and/orlicensure in a specific discipline preferred and may be required depending on the discipline.
Qualifications- Experience
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Qualifications- Skills
Ability to work with students of multimodal learning styles and diverse levels of writing experience and preparation. Strong verbaland written communication skills.
