Special Education Department Full-Time Paraprofessional/Behavior Technician
Dover Public Schools is a progressive, culturally diverse school district in Morris County serving approximately 3,600 students, Pre-K through grade 12. Dover Department of Special Services is currently accepting applications for the position of a Special Education Department full-time Paraprofessional/Behavior Technician. The position is full-time with benefits. The individual should have experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or behavioral challenges.
The individual should be familiar with Applied Behavioral Analysis' (ABA) principals and strategies. The individual must possess a Behavior Technician Certificate or the willingness to complete the required training and assessments for certification. Costs of training and certification will be funded by the District.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 60 credits from an accredited college or university
- Possess a Behavior Technician Certificate or committed to earning one (District will reimburse funds for certification)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Compensation $28.39 hr
