Job Overview
Howmet Aerospace Inc., a leader in aerospace components, is hiring a Utility Worker for its Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey (on-site). The position involves working the Weekend Nights Shift (Friday to Sunday 6 PM–6 AM) and will receive training on the Day Shift (Monday–Friday 6 AM–2 PM). The starting hourly rate is $25.66, increasing to $28.31 after 12 months, plus a shift premium for off‑shift assignments.
This position has access to export‑controlled items and offers are contingent upon the applicant’s lawful access.
- Perform any hourly job supporting the department, excluding non‑fixtured cutting
- Use cutting equipment such as the Kalamazoo saw, wet saw, AW Bell, pull‑down saw, and water‑jet machines
- Conduct MP identity marking, alloy verification, and maintain traceability of castings
- Execute K/O procedure, KOH soak/Core removal, water hone, and sand/pressure blast cleaning
- Maintain identity and records of castings throughout all operations
- Keep scrap and spruing separate with proper identity
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Follow all EHS regulations and safety rules; report illnesses, injuries, and safety concerns promptly
- Attend all EHS training sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
- Must pass a visual eye exam and alloy verification certification
- Experience with the equipment listed in the responsibilities section
- Must be able to perform repeated lifting and work in an environment that may involve hot or cold conditions
- Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Dover, NJ
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Flexibility to work at various job sites within the facility
- Capable of operating hoists and using handheld and machine tools

- Shell removal equipment (pneumatic, hammer knock‑out, blast)

- Manufacturing environment (hot, cold, etc.)
- Use of blast machines, grinding machines, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment
- Must be able to use hoists
