Responsibilities- Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
- Ensure all machinery is in proper working condition.
- Create CNC programming for fabrication and machining.
- Control machines and processes to meet production requirements.
- Operate and maintain CNC lathes, mills, and/or gear grinders, as well as hand and power tools as required.
- Set up CNC machines independently with accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpret GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings to ensure proper machining operations.
- Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and establish machining strategies.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, comparators, and thread plug gauges to verify part quality.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout all production activities.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of independent CNC machine setup experience.
- GD&T proficiency – strong ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Blueprint interpretation – read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and GD&T feature callouts to ensure accurate machining.
- Experience operating CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear‑shaping equipment.
- Skilled in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
- Basic hand tool knowledge.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Ability to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Ability to understand and properly use fixtures and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
