Position: Budtender (Part-Time)

The Budtender at Premo is responsible for providing guidance to customers throughout their cannabis purchasing experience. This includes making informed product recommendations based on customer preferences, providing accurate descriptions of our products, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.

Part‑Time Bud tenders work between 15‑29 hours per week.

Applicants must be over the age of 21 and consent to a State and Federal Background check.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience while ensuring operational integrity and compliance within the store
  • Guide customers through sales transactions and offer advice and knowledge as needed
  • Maintain a well‑stocked sales floor, update displays and menus, and ensure the store is well‑maintained
  • Fulfill and pack customer orders, transferring completed orders from fulfillment areas to the sales floor for pick‑up
  • Promote a positive and customer‑service oriented work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Continuously develop product knowledge to provide customers with up‑to‑date information and advice
  • Respond to customer inquiries in‑store, online, and over the phone
  • Accurately use and maintain the point of sale (POS) system in‑person and over the phone
  • Handle cash accurately, manage customer carts, and process customer transactions
  • Accurately and promptly enter customer data
  • Strive to achieve team and individual performance goals
  • Verify necessary paperwork, documentation, and identification for customers
  • Execute inventory, visual merchandising, marketing, customer service, or other in‑store operations as directed by Store Leadership
  • Report any observed inconsistencies or hazards to Store Leadership
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming store environment
  • Complete store opening and closing checklists
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
  • Preferred experience in retail sales, hospitality, or quick‑service restaurants; cannabis retail experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with cannabis point of sale (POS) software is a plus
  • Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to understand and comply with applicable state and local laws, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures
  • Must comply with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills
  • Focused with close attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb training and follow instructions
  • Clear and effective communication skills
