Maintenance Planner / Scheduler
Responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance work, including day‑to‑day activities, one‑day outages, and major shutdowns. Provides leadership and coaching to the maintenance team to meet work objectives and performance standards. Coordinates CMMS support, asset management, work planning and spare parts inventory. Improves plant productivity through efficient maintenance planning and record keeping.

- Coordinate CMMS support, asset management, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure all CMMS procedures are developed and followed throughout the organization.
- Assist the plant in providing necessary maintenance resources and record keeping to increase plant performance.
- High School Diploma or GED; advanced degree/certification in a technical and/or maintenance discipline preferred.
- Two to five years of industrial experience in a chemical plant or related industry; experience in a union environment is a plus.
- One to three years of maintenance and supervisory experience.
- One to three years of maintenance planner/scheduler experience.
- Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation).
- Background in maintenance and repair of equipment to plan daily maintenance activities.
- Experience working and managing on a PSM site; PHA and MOC experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing systems and processes.
- Strong project management skills.
- One to three years of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating materials) inventory management experience.
- Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.
- Experience in both batch and continuous operations.
- Knowledge of Federal/State EPA and OSHA compliance standards.
- Six Sigma knowledge and training a plus.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience using ERP preferred; proficiency with ERP systems a plus.
- Prior experience in stores MRO management and inventory control.

- Analyze and troubleshoot operational and equipment problems, providing accurate recommendations.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, presenting complex situations concisely.
- Interact effectively with technical contacts and hourly workforce.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Computer skills: CMMS, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Build partnerships across functional groups and lead projects.
- Proven experience managing an hourly union workforce.
- Proven experience using work‑management processes to plan and schedule maintenance work.
