Job Overview

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development-focused role that prepares candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The program spans 16 weeks of self‑paced collaborative training, including virtual and hands‑on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion during the structured program.
  • Support the store as part of the management team and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues in support of the company's mission to help people on their path to better health.
  • Support customer service duties to provide high levels of service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
  • Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
Required Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Retail merchandising and inventory management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
  • Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location within the designated market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
Compensation

Anticipated weekly hours: 45

Time type:
Full time

Pay range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour (base rate or annual full‑time salary depending on position).
