Billing Clerk

Description

We are looking for a motivated Billing Clerk to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in Downers Grove, Illinois. This contract position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in accounts receivable and billing processes with hands-on experience. The role requires working onsite and involves generating and processing invoices while maintaining accuracy and customer communication.

Responsibilities:

- Generate and process invoices daily using Quick Books Online, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

- Manage complex billing scenarios by analyzing invoice details based on services provided and shipping costs.

- Communicate with customers regularly to clarify billing details, preauthorize credit card payments, and resolve failed transactions.

- Maintain organized records of billing activities and ensure timely completion of month-end invoicing.

- Collaborate with team members to address billing discrepancies and provide solutions.

- Adapt to a highly transactional work environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining efficiency.

- Perform light administrative tasks and assist with logistics or returns as needed.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all billing activities.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and promptly.

- Contribute to process improvements and suggest enhancements to streamline billing operations.

The hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $24/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - Entry-level position; no prior accounting experience required.

- Familiarity with Quick Books Online or Quick Books Desktop is strongly preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex billing processes.

- Comfortable interacting with customers and handling billing-related inquiries.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems.

- Ability to think critically and adapt to non-routine billing scenarios.

- Detail-oriented approach with a positive and reliable attitude.

- Must be able to work onsite in a collaborative team environment.
