Senior Director, Accounting Shared Services
We are partnering with a growing, industry-leading organization seeking a Senior Director, Accounting Shared Services to lead a large-scale Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable organization.
This leader will be responsible for driving automation, process improvement, systems optimization, and operational efficiencies across accounting operations while leading a sizeable team that includes Manager and Director-level leaders. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to influence change across a complex organization.
Responsibilities- Lead enterprise-wide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
- Drive automation, continuous improvement, and process transformation initiatives
- Partner with Finance, IT, and business leaders to modernize systems and workflows
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to improve performance and scalability
- Lead, coach, and develop a large accounting operations team, including senior leaders
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, and operational effectiveness
- Evaluate and improve existing processes while helping build a best-in-class shared services organization
- Champion system enhancement initiatives, including Oracle-based solutions and legacy system modernization
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting, shared services, or accounting operations leadership experience from a larger organization
- Experience leading large AP and AR organizations within a complex environment
- Strong background in process improvement, automation, transformation, and operational excellence
- Oracle ERP experience highly preferred
- Experience working within both modern and legacy system environments
- Background within manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, industrial, or other product-based organizations preferred
- Proven ability to think strategically while remaining engaged in operational details
