Audit Senior

Audit Senior | Downers Grove, IL | Fully in-office | Flexible schedule | $100-130K base + bonus

A well-established public accounting firm is looking to add an Audit Senior to a close-knit, four-person audit department. This is an immediate need, so we are moving quickly to find the right person.

You will work across a genuinely wide variety of clients, including manufacturing, nonprofit, government, distributors, single audits, and 401(k) plans. The department handles 40 to 50 audits and reviews combined, so there is plenty of meaningful work to dig into and no shortage of variety.

This is a hands-on role. Expect roughly 70 percent individual fieldwork and 30 percent review to start, with a clear path to grow into a broader review role over time. A little tax experience is a plus.

Perform audit and review engagements from planning through completion, working directly at client sites. Take ownership of individual assignments while collaborating with a small, experienced team. Over time, step into more review responsibility as you grow within the department.

Someone at the Senior level with a solid audit background and the drive to work independently. Comfort across different industries and engagement types is important given the variety of the client base. A little tax exposure is welcome but not required.

Any time worked over 40 hours goes into a bank you can use as PTO. Anything left in the bank at year end gets paid out. Flexible scheduling built around what works for you. Come in early and leave early, or come in later and stay later. The focus is on getting the work done. We do not micro-manage. Bonuses after busy season.
