BIM Coordination Specialist

The BIM Coordination Specialist is responsible for leading and managing the full BIM coordination process across construction projects. This role ensures that multi-trade models are aligned, clashes are resolved efficiently, and coordinated models support fabrication, installation, and field execution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead BIM coordination from project kickoff through completion
• Plan and manage coordination schedules, meetings, and deliverables
• Facilitate coordination meetings with contractors and trade partners
• Perform clash detection and drive issue resolution to closure
• Manage and aggregate multi-trade models using tools like Navisworks and Revit
• Ensure models meet LOD requirements and project standards
• Track and assign coordination issues and verify resolutions
• Maintain model organization, naming conventions, and version control
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders
• Support construction teams with coordinated models and documentation
• Enforce BIM standards and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• BIM/VDC or coordination experience
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, or similar BIM tools
• Experience leading coordination meetings and managing clash detection
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
• Experience in MEP, fabrication, or design-build environments
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
