The Manager, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, will be a key member of the Drinking Water business unit’s New Product Development (NPD) team at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions. This role is responsible for leading technology and innovation efforts while designing, developing, and validating electrical and electronics systems that enable innovative, reliable, and compliant drinking water and dispensing solutions.
This position provides seasoned technical leadership and ownership of electrical and electronics architecture and platform development. The role works closely with cross‑functional engineering disciplines, product management, operations, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure predictable execution and successful product launches aligned with customer, regulatory, and business requirements.

Director of Engineering
- Develop and own electrical and electronics architecture and platform development and management, supporting long-term scalability, reuse, and roadmap alignment.
- Provide seasoned technical leadership (10+ years) across electrical and electronics product development, including hardware and firmware integration.
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components for new drinking water and dispensing products, including filtration, dispensing, and connected solutions.
- Develop and guide system architecture, schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams to support new and next‑generation product platforms.
- Establish and expand internal competency and industry best practices across hardware and firmware development, including regression strategy, test case development, and execution discipline.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software engineers to deliver integrated product designs, providing technical leadership and sound engineering decision‑making.
- Provide strong technical and project leadership to lead complex projects and multi‑discipline engineering teams, including electrical, electronics, firmware, and mechanical engineering, ensuring effective system‑level integration.
- Support and guide early Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC), prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities to reduce downstream risk.
- Drive resolution of complex electrical and electronics issues, guiding corrective actions and continuous design improvement.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing to support component selection, cost optimization, supplier technical alignment, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, performance, and regulatory standards (UL, FCC, CE, NSF, etc.).
