Measurement RTU​/EFM Engineer​/Specialist; Downers Grove, IL

The individual will provide design services and technical support for all electronic flow measurement (EFM) equipment used at Kinder Morgan natural gas measurement and control stations, and must possess the ability to associate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. One position to be located in either Colorado Springs, CO;
Houston, TX;
Birmingham, AL; or Downers Grove, IL depending upon successful the successful candidate.

• Specify EFM equipment
• Specify peripheral equipment (enclosures, power supplies, solar power systems, transmitters, modems, cabling, terminal blocks, I.S. barriers, etc.)
• Write application programs for Emerson FB3000 products using FBx Designer
• Write application programs for Emerson Control Wave products using Control Wave Designer
• Write and interpret Function Sequence Tables (FST) for Emerson ROCs
• Evaluate new EFM equipment
• Work with vendors on EFM panel design
• Provide factory acceptance and site acceptance testing of EFM systems
• Provide engineering support to operations on a daily basis
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues found in the field
• Use lab facilities to emulate and resolve issues found in the field
• Write documentation for EFM systems
• Train field personnel in use of EFM equipment
• Apply the company's design and operating philosophy within the field locations to meet corporate goals for safety, regulatory compliance, efficiency, and profitability
• Develop and generate project scope documents, schedules, cost estimates, budget forecasts as required with moderate direction from supervisor
• Effectively prioritize workload between several projects
• Significantly contributes to meeting business objectives by generating and implementing project ideas
• Regular and predictable attendance
