Role Summary

As a Tooling Engineer
, you will focus on designing and optimizing tooling for progressive stamping processes, utilizing Solid Works to develop innovative and efficient solutions. This role requires collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure tools are designed for manufacturability, durability, and performance while continuously improving design standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed tooling designs for progressive stamping processes using Solid Works.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets specifications and performance standards.
  • Optimize tooling designs for cost, manufacturability, and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to tooling performance during prototyping and production.
  • Drive improvements in tooling design processes, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Create and maintain precise 3D models and technical drawings for progressive stamping tools.
  • Analyze project requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet production needs.
  • Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to refine tooling designs.
  • Test and evaluate tooling prototypes, incorporating adjustments for optimal performance.
  • Research and implement advancements in tooling materials, design techniques, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Solid Works, with experience in progressive stamping tool design.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
