Job Description

Cobalt Integration is a multidisciplinary engineering firm focusing on the design, integration, and construction management of capital asset projects. We provide full‑service project management from ideation, budgeting, and capital approval, through construction and startup. We pride ourselves not just in completing quality projects, but in developing partnerships with our clients and vendors. Cobalt Integration is seeking a CAD Designer to assist Project Managers with project layout tasks such as layout design, specification review, and drawing management.

• Work with Project Managers to create and design project layout documents.
• Promote factory layouts that enhance safety, operator and forklift access, ease of maintenance, while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing look.
• Assist in the development of bid packages, construction, and as‑built packages.
• Travel to customer sites to verify field conditions (approximately 10‑15% travel).
• Collaborate with OEMs to obtain equipment footprints and provide OEM operator and layout feasibility.
• Interact well with Clients, OEM representatives, and Cobalt staff to positively complete project initiatives and drive conceptual ideas.
• Identify areas of improvement and point out flaws in OEM drawings and layouts.
