Responsibilities Include:- Working with customer project engineers and electrical controls engineers to design and develop electrical control schematics, panels and Bill of Materials.
- Structure Jobs, Releases, and Work Orders in an ERP system.
- Check Schematics and Panel layouts comply with NEC standards.
- Audit to ensure design and BOM comply with UL508A and SCCR specifications.
- Work with Panel Fabricators to answer and resolve questions.
- Edit drawings from mark-ups to create final and complete drawings sets.
- A drive to complete projects on time and on budget.
- Drawings are expected to be developed in AutoCAD utilizing company standard template library.
- Associate technical degree or equivalent certification.
- Applicants should have 3+ years in the following areas:
Industrial Electrical schematic design for 480
VAC/3P systems that incorporate IO systems, Motor Starters, VFD and Servo drives. Layout of devices for panels that adhere to manufacturer spacing requirements. Attention to planned conduit and cable tray locations for incoming and outgoing connections. - Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of the Allen Bradley product catalog for IO, VFD's, etc.
- UL508A certification.
- Up to date on NEC industrial requirements.
- Branch circuit segregation and load sizing for transformers and power supplies.
- Analyze commercial component documentation and ensure proper load protection and integration.
- A commitment to doing it right the first time.
- A valid driver's license.
- Familiarity of design for 690
VDC common bus drive systems. - Field site audit experience for retrofit designs or install supervision.
- Previous hands-on experience with setting panel layouts and wiring of devices.
