Sentinel is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with 5-7 years of industry experience to support and design cloud and virtualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware, Hyper‑V, UCS, Linux, and Windows environments. Responsibilities include onboarding new customers, supporting data center migrations, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills as you will be working with various cross‑functional teams.

Candidates should have experience in technical support and be comfortable in a fast‑paced, SLA‑driven environment. This position can be remote but may need to provide onsite support to our Downers Grove, IL headquarters as needed.

• Deep understanding and hands‑on experience in server hardware, virtualization, cloud integrations, and security to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance
• Design, implement, and manage mission‑critical data center infrastructure
• Strong understanding of server virtualization, storage systems, and hands‑on experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) solutions
• Provide senior‑level technical support and system engineering for all Windows‑based and Linux‑based platforms including Active Directory, DNS, RDS
• Planning, executing, and overseeing the successful migration of data center infrastructure, applications, and services
• Considered a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more datacenter technologies
• Experience with Hyper‑V/System Center and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) is a plus
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Participation in after‑hours work (when needed) and on‑call rotation is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Nice to have public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) experience
