Network Support Engineer
Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer with CCIE-level expertise in Routing and Switching. This is a high-impact, senior-level role requiring deep technical knowledge, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment and play a key role in supporting and optimizing complex network infrastructures.
This is a full-time remote role with occasional on-site support at the Downers Grove, Illinois office.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include leading and mentoring junior engineers, supporting complex network infrastructures, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring optimal operation of routing and switching protocols.
Qualifications- CCIE (Routing & Switching) certification or equivalent hands-on expertise is required.
- Must have experience in network engineering/support within enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in production environments.
- Experience mentoring or overseeing junior engineers.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
- A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

$150,000–$170,000
