Responsibilities
The Threat Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and is responsible for shadowing more experienced analysts. They receive experiential training to support alarm research and development, conduct research on emerging threats, and communicate findings to our customers. With support, they serve as a technical expert in our detections and act as a collaborative point of escalation for the SOC team.
They analyze logs, actively pursue the latest industry news and events, think like an attacker, and correlate information across wide data sets under the guidance of senior analysts. This position requires onsite work at our Downers Grove, IL headquarters.
- 1-3 years of experience in a security operations related field.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, business, or STEM related field. Excellent communication skills required.
- GIAC Certification (Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)), or other advanced GIAC certifications and Splunk Certification or comparable experience is required.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills, risk management, and the willingness to roll up sleeves. Excellent written and verbal communication, goal orientation, and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment.

Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), eLearning Security Junior Penetration Tester (eJPT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). - The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between locations and transportation of equipment.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude.
$90,000 - $95,000 annual salary.
