Adecco is currently assisting a global leader in consumer products in their search for a Procurement Category Analyst. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Downers Grove, IL, offering the chance to support procurement operations, supplier approvals, and cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment. Location:

Downers Grove, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite Tuesday & Wednesday, 3 days remote)

Pay Rate: $30.00–$34.00/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end‑to‑end raw material and supplier approval process, including collecting, reviewing, and validating required documentation needed to establish new raw materials within internal systems.
  • Coordinate new item setup by gathering supplier documentation, tracking approvals, and ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Lead weekly project meetings focused on raw material approvals, supplier status updates, facility approvals, samples, and process improvements.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Procurement, Research & Development, Legal, Quality Assurance, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate timely raw material approvals.
  • Monitor project timelines, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate issues appropriately to keep projects moving forward.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and approval processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external supplier partners.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, supply chain, category management, or supplier management functions.
  • Experience coordinating new item setup, supplier onboarding, raw material approvals, or similar documentation‑driven processes.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams including Procurement, R&D, Legal, and Quality Assurance.
  • Ability to identify issues, exercise sound judgment, and escape when appropriate.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and formulas.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Bonus: Exposure to SAP is highly preferred.
