PositionSummary
This is a 1st shift position. Under the direction of the Supervisor, associate will assist with picking and packing products into various shipping containers, following shipping specifications. Seals, glues, nails, labels, and/or bands shipping containers to assure closure and proper protection and identification.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Pick and/or check orders as required by supervisor and/or lead.
- Pick or pack a variety of material in cartons or boxes, wrapping as required, inserting dividers or blocking to prevent shifting, counting, and verifying according to order before packing.
- Perform routing assembly of standard products having limited variations and number of components. Stocking of products; plan storage locations; determine proper location of goods to allow for maximum space utilization.
- Utilizing Reach Truck, Sit-down, electric pallet jacks or manual pallet jacks to move product within the building as needed.
- Assist team members in retrieval of product in storage locations utilizing the reach truck for customer orders as needed.
- Assists other forklift operators, in loading and unloading trucks and performing putaway of finished goods when needed.
- Perform other duties as may be required; keep work areas and machines clean, observe company safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.
- Perform end of day closing activities.
- Previous warehouse and picker/packer experience preferred.
- Previous forklift/reach truck experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, lift and/or move up 25 lbs.
- Must be able to see, hear and use hands to hand or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Constant twisting, bending, and hand gripping.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
The pay for this role is $19.00-$23.00/hr and is commensurate on experience and education and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible for paid time off, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision.
This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
