Location:

Downers Grove, IL

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 9:30pm

Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour + Quarterly Bonuses

We are seeking a Production Specialist to join our Operations team. This is a cross-functional production role that supports our Manual Fulfillment, Print Production, and Mail Inserting departments. The Production Specialist will be trained in all three areas and provide coverage based on production demands, employees absences, and vacation schedules.

Approximate time allocation:

  • Manual Fulfillment- 40%
  • Mail Inserting- 40%
  • Print Production- 20%

No prior print or mail experience? We encourage candidates with manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, machine operation, or production backgrounds to apply. We provide training for individuals with strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Position Summary

The Production Specialist supports the production of customer communications by operating equipment, performing quality checks, preparing materials, and assisting in various production areas to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and prepare projects for printing and mailing
  • Operate high-speed laser inkjet printing equipment
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to client specifications
  • Inspect files and printed materials for defects, formatting issues, fonts, image resolution concerns, and other quality problems
  • Follow established quality control and machine operating procedures
  • Properly stage, acclimate, load, and change paper rolls as needed
  • Reprint damaged or defective documents when necessary
  • Perform routine operator-level maintenance and cleaning on production equipment
  • Communicate with Client Services, Sales, IT, and Operations teams to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Cross-train and provide support in Manual Fulfillment, Print Production, and Mail Inserting departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as a team member
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Ability to push and move heavy materials using pallet jacks, carts, or dollies
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and E-Verify

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing, production, warehouse, print, mail, or operations experience
  • Print, copy, digital print, or mail production experience
  • Experience with operating high-speed printing equipment
  • Experience with continuous roll-feed printing equipment
  • Familiarity with digital front end (DFE) software such as fiery, PRISMA, or Total Flow systems
  • Adobe Acrobat experience
  • Knowledge of USPS mailing regulations

Schedule Requirements:

· Regular schedule:
Monday through Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm

· Flexibility to work overtime as needed

· Occasional Saturday work may be required
