Job Title: Production Operator - Entry
Base Rate per Hour: $21.00
Shift: 3rd
Hours: Generally starts as early as 9:45PM until finish. Overtime and weekend work as needed. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule, especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.
Job Summary & Duties- Moulder: Operates, sets up and adjusts the moulder; observes proper moulding of dough; lifts and reaches up to 10lbs to fill the flour sifter on moulders and up to 15lbs for pans of dough; keeps conveyors scraped and un‑jams pans; follows HACCP/CTS/GMP/JSA standards; may assist other Line3 positions as requested.
- Pan Feeder: Places pans weighing approximately 6½lbs on the feed conveyor; removes pans at downtime and at the end of shift; stacks pans on pan trucks; moves pan trucks weighing up to 1500lbs, approximately 30ft, at the beginning and end of shift; may assist other Line3 positions as requested.
- BSH (Packaging & Related Positions): May be assigned to any of the following: makeup helper, break lunch relief, moulder operator, divider operator, oven operator, lidder, pan operator, slicer/feeder, bagger, caser, or packaging helper. Tasks include racking products, monitoring bags, ensuring packaging quality, standing for prolonged periods, moving pan trucks (up to 1500lbs), maintaining product weights at the divider, setting ovens and provers per product centerlining and CTS, lifting up to 50lbs, operating bagger and kwik‑lok machines, case product into baskets, monitoring bag clarity, checking quality and wrap, understanding the code board, feeding product into the slicer, and racking/unracking bread.
May assist other positions during operation as requested.
- Decision Making: Demonstrates strong decision‑making and communication skills; exercises good judgment; resolves issues quickly and communicates with supervision; fills communication boards daily.
- Food Safety Awareness: Holds a full understanding of HACCP, CTS, SOP, Safety, GMP, and JSA procedures; prevents contamination, allergen control, and ensures lot code traceability.
- Formula Control: Adheres to exact formula specifications and procedures to maintain bread quality standards and label content alignment.
- 5S Maintenance: Maintains work area cleanliness, housekeeping, and organization.
Two years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Use hands, fingers and arms to reach, feel product and manipulate materials and equipment.
- Walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using senses.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds and push/pull heavy loads on wheeled dollies.
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and experiences vibration.
- Exposed to fumes, airborne particles, hot/cold temperature extremes, high noise levels, forklift traffic and wet environments.
- Must comply with all safety regulations, support plant safety initiatives, and use prescribed safety equipment (eye protection, shields, gloves, earplugs, respirators, approved footwear).
- Must adapt to changing work environments and high‑pressure situations and work in a team.
- May require overtime as needed to support operations.
