Machinist

Key Accountabilities

• Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal as well as written instructions.
• Machine and install or re-cut chuck jaws as required.
• Insert and secure tooling in machine turrets and perform machine set‑ups.
• Download and upload programs into the machine and make minor programming adjustments as needed.
• Operate various computerized numerical controls to manufacture finished machined products, maintaining tight tolerances.
• Inspect own work for correct dimensions and ensure compliance with quality and quantity standards; complete required documentation.
• Inspect the work of other machinists as required.
• Operate multiple machines and rotate departments as needed.
• Enter data into the ERP system.
• Load and unload component parts weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in operating a CNC lathe, CNC mill, or resistance spot welder (any combination of two machines), with intermediate knowledge of machine setup.
• High‑school education or equivalent experience.
• Reliability with minimal call‑offs; good attendance is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience; knowledge of machining principles and methods for computer‑numerical‑controlled machine tools.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting work instructions and blueprints in English.
• External candidates must pass a machinist test measuring mechanical aptitude.
