Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Pay: $18-20/hr

This role focuses on material handling, forklift operation, and general warehouse support within a fast-paced production environment. The position involves moving pallets, supporting shipping and receiving activities, performing light assembly and kitting work, and maintaining a clean and organized work area while contributing to the production of safety-related products.

• Move pallets of material using various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, and electric and propane-powered units.
• Perform general shipping and receiving tasks such as loading and unloading trucks by hand, palletizing products, and inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Handle incoming materials, including reflective gear for the construction industry and metal components, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Complete sub-assembly work on full products, such as attaching legs to signs, using basic hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform kitting and assembly of products according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Support multiple departments as needed, including sewing, basic assembly, and shipping/receiving, based on daily operational demands.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, to meet production and shipping deadlines.
• Assist with inventory-related tasks such as material handling, picking, packing, and cycle counting to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area by regularly cleaning and organizing work spaces and following established safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding material status, workflow, and any issues that may impact production or shipping.

• Proven experience with material handling in a warehouse or production environment.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and electric and propane units.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including palletizing and inspecting shipments.
• Ability to perform basic sub-assembly and product assembly using hand tools and power tools.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
