Thermal Processing Technician — Aerospace Alloys

Join a long-standing precision manufacturer that powers flight, transportation, and power transmission. Our client builds premium metal components and gear systems for OEM and industrial partners, and is adding a skilled Thermal Processing Technician to the 2nd shift team.

• Prepare work centers, set fixtures, and load steel components into heat-treat furnaces, quench presses, and part washers.
• Run established recipes and monitor setpoints, dwell/soak times, and cycle parameters in line with documented process specifications.
• Validate results through hardness checks and basic in-process quality inspections.
• Move parts, trays, and baskets safely using overhead hoists or other approved lift equipment.
• Capture accurate production counts and process data in the required records.
• Maintain an orderly area and adhere to all safety and housekeeping procedures.

• 1+ year of heat treat or furnace operation is preferred; we will train a mechanically inclined learner.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions as well as gauges and micrometers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dependable, reliable work habits.
• Comfort working in a hot industrial environment and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented mindset with careful attention to detail and safety.
