HR Source is searching for a full-time, hands‑on Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing and communications activities that promote the association’s brand and services.
Who are we?HR Source is a 127‑year‑old Chicago‑based trade association, located in the western suburbs, serving more than 1,200 companies and organizations in their role as employers. The association provides comprehensive resources, support, and services to help organizations make confident human resources decisions and apply effective workforce practices.

Where are we?Our office is located in Downers Grove
, Illinois. Our team currently enjoys a hybrid work schedule. Occasional travel throughout the Chicago metro region to attend conferences and work events is required.
- Create, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns, emails, weekly newsletter, ads, website graphics and print materials supporting our organization’s initiatives, events, products, and services.
- Maintain a master marketing and content calendar and coordinate with key team members to support communication planning.
- Collaborate with the Content Advisor and other team members to create compelling, consistent content across all channels while maintaining HR Source’s brand voice.
- Serve as a brand steward, maintaining all logo files and ensuring consistent application of brand standards across all marketing and communication collateral.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the use of standardized presentation and document templates and educate staff on proper use and brand standards.
- Build and maintain HR Source’s social media presence through high‑quality, timely, creative posts and storytelling.
- Build and maintain a social media calendar integrated into the association’s overall marketing strategy and collaborate with other team members to create compelling content.
- Plan, develop, and maintain HR Source’s website content, style, and layout ensuring brand and voice consistency.
- Source and create graphics for electronic and print marketing, social media, presentations, signage, and trade show supplies.
- Manage and execute print projects by working with vendors, establishing timelines, developing designs and finalizing files for print and electronic use.

The hiring range for the role is $60-75,000/year and will be dependent on experience, skills, and education - Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

What are the job requirements?A bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field is preferred but not required. Prior association experience is a plus!
- Strong understanding of core marketing capabilities such as creative development, market positioning, and customer segmentation.
- Experience with social media marketing.
- Experience with design and layout platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create templates and graphics.
- Experience with customer relationship management or association management systems, content management systems, email marketing platforms, and marketing automation.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI tools and technologies into daily work processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and impact.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.
