Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80. Determined by experience, expertise, and factors.

Position

Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Imaging

Location

Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours weekly. Monday-Friday,  to . Monthly on‑call rotation, holidays: on‑call only.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, renders professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician?s treatment plans to provide quality patient care.
  • Assesses patients? condition, recognizes deviations, administers prescribed drugs, provides treatments, observes patients? progress, records pertinent observations, reports reactions to drugs and treatments, and takes follow‑up action as needed.
  • Develops or assists in developing patient treatment plans.
  • Assists physicians with cases, procedures or examinations, functions as a team player to fulfill unit goals.
  • Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of the job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice.
  • Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
  • Critical Care experience required.
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
  • High level of analytical ability required. Incumbents must collect, analyze, and interpret data to solve problems requiring professional level of knowledge in specific discipline and/or design complex clinical or administrative systems and programs.
  • High level of communication skills required to lead, teach, and persuade others and/or interact effectively with others in very difficult situations.
  • Work is not completely standardized; assignments often received in form of results expected, due dates, and general procedures to follow.
  • Physical requirements:

    ability to walk or stand for an hour or more at a time, lift or carry objects weighing more than 20 pounds, push or pull laundry or supply carts, gurneys or wheelchairs, lift and position patients, proofread and check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter, retrieve or transform words or data, closely examine specimens, images, or reports.
