Love working outdoors and take pride in keeping turf in top shape? The Downers Grove Park District is hiring a Seasonal Greenskeeper at Belmont Golf Club. In this role, you’ll help maintain the health, playability, and great appearance of the course so golfers enjoy an excellent experience every day.

• Pay: $22/hour
• IMRF eligible
• Free golf at Belmont Golf Club
• Free membership at 4500 Fitness

• 35–40 hours per week
• Includes one weekend day
• Seasonal position ends mid-November
• Expect early mornings, outdoor work, and changing weather conditions

As a Seasonal Greenskeeper, you’ll support daily course operations and maintenance, including:

• Perform labor related to maintenance, construction, and development of golf course turf, landscaping, paths, parking lots, and special areas
• Operate District-owned equipment for turf cutting and maintenance, grading, tilling, ditch digging, material support, and other equipment-based tasks
• Operate and maintain small power tools
• Complete daily course maintenance such as mowing greens, fairways, rough, and general landscape work
• Pick balls on the driving range
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures

We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced with high-maintenance turf work.

You should have:

• 1–2 years of turf maintenance experience (golf course turf, sports fields, or similar)
• Riding mowers
• Rough mowers
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work early mornings, weekends, and in various weather conditions
• Must be 18 years or older

• Prior golf course or turf facility experience in a turf maintenance role
• Experience maintaining sand bunkers, repairing divots, and rolling greens
• Ability to perform basic mower maintenance (cleaning, blade sharpening, etc.)
