PLZ Personal Care is seeking a hands‑on Validation & Quality Compliance Specialist to drive OTC readiness and cGMP compliance across our network. This corporate individual contributor partners with Site QA, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and CI teams to author and/or approve validations, develop SOPs from validation outcomes, train site teams, and ensure alignment to FDA, ISO, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibility- Author/execute/approve validation protocols and reports for water systems, new equipment IQ/OQ, process (OTC) validations, processing/filling (PQ), cleaning and sanitization, lab test method, and software validations.
- Translate validation results into SOPs and work instructions within the QMS.
- Author and implement corporate SOPs. Audit site-level SOPs for alignment to corporate expectations, FDA and ISO requirements, and then update as required via change control.
- Provide on site audit support (customer/FDA/ISO) as needed
- Harmonize environmental monitoring and temperature mapping programs, including tracking and trending of EM result and control limits across all sites.
- Partner cross functionally to assess hygienic design and make engineering and design improvement recommendations
- 50% travel to sites in the US and Canada
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in validation/compliance within OTC, pharma, or personal care.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, ISO, GMP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Proven SOP development, training, and multi‑site collaboration experience.
- Clear communication, organization, and the ability to lead without direct reports.
- Must be willing to travel to sites in the US and Canada up to 50% of the time.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $130,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
