Work Model:
This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. The position covers several areas of inspection responsibility throughout the facility. This role is a critical link between shop floor associates, engineering specifications and requirements. The person in this role ensures performance standards are met and takes appropriate action to meet deadlines, quality performance and production targets.

The role also includes cross‑training throughout the department and assisting when there is a bottleneck in an inspection area, vacation fill‑ins, or managing absences. You will be responsible for supporting team cohesion within the department and the facility and lead by example.

Working hours:

9am-5pm or 10am-6pm.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to and implementation of Company Safety and Work rules.
  • Perform inspection operations in the following areas:
    • Final Inspection
    • Heat Treat Inspection
    • Plating Inspection
    • Receiving QC Inspection
    • Pre/Post OSP Inspection
    • In‑Process Inspection
    • First Article Inspection
  • Document nonconformance (NCRs) when discrepancies are detected at any inspection stage.
  • Remove discrepant material from production areas.
  • Maintain and support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) metrics in assigned areas.
  • Ensure all quality requirements are followed, including procedural compliance and defect reporting.
  • Act as liaison between production associates and quality requirements.
  • Maintain inspection data during daily inspections and ensure all paperwork is filed properly at shift end.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Quality team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assist with absenteeism coverage to meet production requirements.
  • Escalate production and assembly quality issues or work stoppages caused by quality issues immediately.
  • Set up and adjust gauges using required equipment or masters per specification, including periodic verification of gauge set‑up.
  • Work with quality engineering on the design of new or modified gauging when required.
  • Help the manufacturing area troubleshoot and resolve gauge issues.
Qualifications
  • US Person with US permanent residence (US Citizen or Green Card holder).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2‑3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing accountability.
  • 2‑3 years of Aerospace DSQR experience preferred.
  • Qualified experience, ASQ Certified CQT CMI a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of AS9102 (FAI’s) First Article Inspection and quality planning tools (SPC, GR&R, Cpk, GD&T, DMAIC, First Piece Inspection, Cost of Quality).
  • Basic knowledge of aviation industry compliance standards (ISO, AS 9000, ISO 10012, AS9100, ISO
    9001, FAA FAR regulations).
  • Strong application knowledge of calibration and metrology systems, including development, improvement, and approval of gauging methodologies and design.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, blueprint interpretation, and process capability analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and related forms.
  • Basic math aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of engineering part drawings and general understanding of metallurgy.
  • Understanding of physical and mechanical properties of metals affected by composition, mechanical working and heat treatments, including metal cutting and grinding (desirable).
  • Proficiency in time and project management.
  • Training and experience in Microsoft Office 2000 or greater.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
