• As an Operations Generalist, ensure merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes to ensure efficient and effective operations that meet guest and pet needs.
• Work the truck, stock shelves, clean the Pet Care Center, operate the cash register, and provide an excellent experience for guests.
• Exhibit a passion for welfare, health, and proper animal care and be a positive partner within the Pet Care Center team.
• Maintain and inventory across the entire Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed to create a great presentation for guests.
• Process register transactions to create a great guest experience.
• Be proficient within the selling model and support guest interactions as needed.
• Have a strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures to maintain pet health.
• Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise in the role.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills; professional appearance and genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills for interactions with the public, partners, and leaders.

In addition to a high school diploma or GED, demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.

The majority of duties are indoors; some tasks may require leaving the store briefly for receiving, carry-outs, or stock balancing. Ability to bend, kneel, move merchandise up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to meet store needs.

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations and may vary by location. Actual pay rates depend on position, location, experience, and applicable minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the listed minimum, the regulatory minimum will be applied.
12.00 - 19.50 per hour. Starting Rate: 15.00 per hour.
