Summary

This position is primarily responsible for managing and expanding sales activities within assigned existing accounts and distribution channels within the territory, maximizing customer retention, increasing sales revenue, and implementing strategic corporate directives. The role involves managing relationship networks with both local clients and overseas internal personnel to align global account strategies.

Essential Duties
  • Manage, nurture, and grow existing business and key accounts in the assigned geographic territory.
  • Maintain close and ongoing communications with Regional Sales Managers and overseas headquarters personnel to align global account strategies.
  • Build and strengthen a professional network within existing clients to identify secondary opportunities and new projects (cross‑selling/up‑selling).
  • Increase conversion dollars by maximizing the share of wallet within existing customer applications to surpass year‑over‑year targets.
  • Direct selling strategy on key opportunities, including pricing, service, investment, risk, scheduling, and technical promotion issues to achieve successful design wins.
  • Work with global engineering and sales teams to develop proposals and present customized/targeted products that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with various internal customer support roles (Field Application Engineers, Segment Managers, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Quality Engineering) to optimize client service.
  • Accountable for local distribution success including growth in POS, new design registrations, existing customer penetration, and branch performance.
  • Conduct frequent opportunity reviews and buddy calls with distributor account managers and channel sales teams to drive accountability and identify areas of focus.
  • Prepare and submit sales activity reports, visit reports, Salesforce updates, and product forecasting on a timely basis.

$110,000 - $120,000 / year

Qualifications
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Japanese (both oral and written) is required to effectively communicate with international teams and local departments.
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Engineering, or a Technical field required.
  • 5+ years of sales or account management experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the electronic component industry required (Interconnect/connector experience is a strong plus).
  • Must possess technical knowledge to fully comprehend customer requirements and provide appropriate product solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project/account management skills.
  • Above‑average organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and assignments under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
  • Self‑motivated and positive attitude with great energy.
  • Existing distributor relationships within the assigned region is a plus.
