OVERALL PURPOSE/FUNCTION:
The Corporate Partnership Manager is responsible for growing PLRB’s sponsorship and exhibiting revenue by building strong relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and Affiliate Members and connecting their objectives with meaningful opportunities to engage with PLRB. This role guides organizations through the engagement process, from initial conversations through commitment, while supporting the continued growth of PLRB’s sponsorship, exhibiting, and membership initiatives.
Working closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, this position helps achieve annual sponsorship and exhibiting revenue goals, supporting a positive exhibitor and sponsor experience, and provides valuable industry insights to inform future initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sponsorship & Exhibitor Revenue Growth- Manage sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities with the Corporate Partnership Manager to achieve annual revenue goals established by PLRB leadership.
- Build relationships with prospective and current exhibitors and sponsors, identifying opportunities to introduce organizations to PLRB and expand their involvement.
- Maintain organized records of sponsor and exhibitor opportunities, commitments, and engagement activity.
- Support exhibitor and sponsor relationships throughout the conference lifecycle, helping ensure a positive and valuable experience.
- Coordinate exhibitor and sponsor logistics, including booth assignments, floor plan management, and fulfillment of sponsor commitments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively support exhibitor, sponsor, and attendee needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve conference participation, enhance exhibitor and sponsor engagement, and improve the overall Expo experience.
- Travel, as needed, to inspect exhibition sites and execute on-site management of exhibitions and sponsored activities at PLRB meetings and conferences.
- Identify opportunities to introduce Affiliate Membership through conversations with exhibitors, and sponsors.
- Collaborate with the Membership team to support Affiliate Membership growth and engagement.
- Collaborate with Membership, Marketing, and Education teams to support a consistent and valuable experience for exhibitors, sponsors, attendees, and Members.
- Gather company feedback and industry to inform future offerings and strengthen PLRB’s market position.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience required.
- Experience with expo and sponsorship sales, and knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance market is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and audience engagement strategies.
- Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience using CRM systems and event management platforms (e.g., Active Campaign, Accelevents, and Expo Cad) preferred.
The job requires long hours in front of a computer screen and long hours at a desk or desk alternative, use of a keyboard and mouse, and use of a telephone.
The job requires concentration, reading, writing, analyzing, organizing, interpreting, communicating, decision-making, and maintaining confidentiality.
This role requires periodic travel to company events, including four in-person conferences, and other company meetings. Some events may require travel and/or work to take place over a weekend.
PRIMARY INTERFACESInternal
Reports to the SVP Membership & Marketing. Coordinates activities with Membership, Marketing and Meetings & Education departments.
External
Regular contact with member companies and outside vendors of editorial, publication, multi-media, and meeting services.
