Responsibilities
Sentinel is looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our Cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build hands‑on experience with enterprise cybersecurity solutions in a highly collaborative Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. In this position, you will apply your knowledge in a real‑world setting, helping to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events.
You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams including networking, systems, and support teams to strengthen and maintain the organization’s security posture.
This is a full‑time 3rd shift position based onsite at our office in Downers Grove, IL. The hours for this role are 11:00pm CST - 09:30am CST Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or similar are a plus
- Experience with assisting in developing and delivering monthly security awareness communications and training
- Experience in monitoring and analyzing alerts from SIEM, EDR, and related systems to identify potential threats
- Assist with triage and escalation of security events
- Exposure to ticketing systems and basic case management workflows
- Participate in incident response activities, including documentation, evidence gathering, and reporting
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation as needed to support incident response and critical security events.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can‑do” attitude

Compensation$60,000-$80,000
