Mobile Technician

Pay Rate: $25-$30/HR on W2 M-F 7am - 4pm

Location:

1100 West 31st, Downers Grove IL

Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:
Candidate will be driving their own vehicle between different locations in the Chicagoland area. Mileage can be expensed. Professionalism is expected. Candidate will be working directly with the client so excellent service skills are required.

Team Overview:
Mostly independent work, some team work as assigned. Resources' typical working day:
Cleaning up backlog of open work orders. General building maintenance/repair. Clogged toilets. Minor patching/painting. Lightbulb replacement.

Licenses/Certifications:

Any applicable license preferred, not required.

Must Have

Skills:

Must have personal vehicle that is reliable. General maintenance skills. Ability to troubleshoot/assess/diagnose. Basic plumbing skills. Basic Electrical skills. Basic HVAC skills.

Years of

Experience:

3+ years.

Education:

h.s. diploma or GED. Software skills:
Basic computer skills. Email skills.

About the Role:

As a Mobile Technician, you will perform repairs and tend to several buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
