Pest Control Technician
Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers by inspecting properties, identifying infestations, and applying appropriate treatments.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and assist with sales to current and new customers.
- Maintain pest control equipment, ensuring it is properly stocked and functional.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Operate safely around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in local climate conditions while wearing company‑provided weather gear.
- Perform frequent moving, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Wear personal protective equipment, such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean, shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers require a proper seal).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
- Required licenses and certificates as mandated by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Hourly: $20.00 – $26.00. Pay may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
