Position: Cloud Development Engineer I

Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking a Level I Engineer for our Cloud Select team. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems administration and demonstrate the ability to move into a Cloud‑focused role. Responsibilities include onboarding new customers, supporting data center migrations, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills as you will be working with various cross‑functional teams.

Candidates should have experience in technical support and be comfortable in a fast‑paced, SLA‑driven environment. This position can be worked remotely within the United States but requires travel to Downers Grove, IL as needed.

Qualifications
  • Provide technical support and system engineering for Windows‑based and Linux‑based platforms, including Active Directory, DNS, and RDS.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee the successful migration of data center infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Experience with Hyper‑V/System Center and scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell (preferred).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Participation in after‑hours work when needed and on‑call rotation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Nice to have experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Must have a car, a valid driver’s license, and proof of vehicle insurance for travel between locations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must demonstrate a “can‑do” attitude.
Compensation

$70,000–$100,000 annually.
