Responsibilities 2‑Bin Inventory Management

  • Maintain all assigned 2‑Bin inventory locations, ensuring proper bin placement, room organization, and adherence to the 2‑Bin standard.
  • Pick and pull all regularly scheduled inventory to replenish locations at 100% accuracy.
  • Deliver 2‑Bin replenishment orders to the appropriate locations.
  • Restock 2‑Bins, perform an inventory cycle count in each bin, and verify accuracy.
  • Check for expired product, replace with the correct product, and adjust inventory counts by cycle counting.
  • Perform supplement restocks when requested.
  • Pick up all empty bins and product returns, return them to General Stores, and stage with required paperwork and signature.
  • Perform a monthly 2‑Bin inventory for designated locations.
  • Use Demand Track regularly to assess and track inventory velocity and usage, making PAR adjustment recommendations to the Supply Chain leader.
Receiving and Delivery Chain of Custody Automation
  • Utilize automation for all General Stores cycle counts scheduled by the Supply Chain Leader.
  • Use the receiving and distribution chain of custody automation to document the chain of custody for all incoming shipments and outgoing General Stores issues.
  • Maintain automation usage at all times in accordance with the prescribed process.
  • Use automation to pick, issue, deliver, credit, and administer all General Stores products, including crash carts and inventory carts.
General Stores Maintenance and Inventory Management
  • Gather and remove product delivery skids and debris within the General Stores environment.
  • Rotate inventory in assigned areas using a first‑expired, first‑out (FEFO) approach and register any expired product per the Non‑Compliant Policy.
  • Manage assigned inventory locations, including valuation levels, cycle counts, error rates, days on hand, and overstock or obsolete levels.
  • Maintain knowledge of total inventory valuation and days‑on‑hand for the overall General Stores and the assigned area.
  • Seek clarification on valuation information from the Supply Chain Leader when needed.
  • Maintain superior housekeeping and cleanliness in all General Stores areas, removing debris, cardboard, plastic, and paper; dispose of items not in assigned locations after approval.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and maintain an error rate of 5% or less, conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective action.
  • Carry assigned pager/telephone and protect it from loss or damage.
  • Maintain a monthly trend chart of total inventory valuation on the General Stores Quality Board.
Receiving
  • Perform receiving functions for all incoming orders, whether bulk or unit‑measure.
  • Review orders for accuracy and correlation to POs and ship‑to locations.
  • Identify incoming quality issues and errors.
  • Interface with customer service representatives for third‑party shipping entities.
  • Utilize scanning technology and prescribed work standards for all receiving functions.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, using red tags and visual management tools for tool and equipment location.
  • Deliver inbound product, analyze problems, and troubleshoot improperly identified items.
  • Clean and disinfect patient‑care equipment per Infection Control policies.
Distribution
  • Manage inventory and pick processes for all requisitioned items, maintaining no more than five days on hand unless approved.
  • Pick and deliver requisitioned orders using barcode scanning for electronic signatures.
  • Review non‑compliant products in green bins, transport them to General Stores, and enter data into the online database.
  • Return all General Stores equipment used for distribution to the General Stores.
  • Coordinate product returns from requisitioning locations back to General Stores.
Picking
  • Pick a minimum of 100 lines per hour, with a benchmark time set by the Supply Chain Leader, and never below 60 lines per hour.
  • Ensure pick accuracy and maintain cycle‑count error rates; develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Chart trend charts of cycle‑count error rates by quarter and display them on the Quality Board.
  • Continuously seek improvement in picking processes.
  • Pick all items for 2‑Bin locations, returning empty bins to General Stores.
