This position is 100% on-site.
SummaryThe Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
ScheduleOur Service Department has implemented an Alternative Workweek Schedule for this position. Here’s how it works:
- 4‑week rotating schedule.
- Three weeks: 4 days per week for 10 hours each day.
- One week: 3 days for 10 hours each day, one day for 9 hours.
- Schedule repeats every 4 weeks.

- Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Complete full multi‑point inspection report.
- Notify service advisor immediately if services cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Document work performed.
- Road‑test vehicles when required or requested, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands.
- Complete online training and attend factory‑sponsored training classes.
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
- Keep shop area neat, clean, and account for all dealership‑owned tools at all times.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Hourly Rate: $21.00.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:
- At least 2 years of automotive lube technician experience or substantially equivalent experience.
- Ability to take direction and perform tasks efficiently and safely.
- Demonstrates safe workplace practices.
- Demonstrates safe driving skills.
- Advanced lube technician skills: basic tool knowledge, oil change, tire rotation, filter replacement, inspection of vehicle with knowledge of visual component failures, inspection of high mileage vehicles and recognition of component failures, product knowledge to make time and mileage recommendations, tire replacement (mount and balance machinery) and certified for tire repair.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
