The Sr. Backup Solutions Architect will possess in-depth understanding, knowledge and experience of Commvault and Commvault Cloud SaaS solutions, along with experience in AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI and GCP; effectively document technical information and communicate seamlessly with business teams, customers, and technical teams in areas like networking, security, and vendor management; perform data protection for On-premises and Public-Cloud using Commvault and perform regular upgrades;
execute storage migrations; consolidate data centers; and manage Pure Storage solutions, both hardware and software. The Sr. Backup Solutions Architect will be well-versed in Data Protection and storage systems, particularly Dell and Net App solutions like ONTAP, Snap Mirror, and Snap Vault; be familiar with scripting languages like Power Shell and Python for automating tasks is important, as is proficiency with UNIX systems (IBM AIX, Linux, HP-UX) and networking hardware;
and the ability to design and manage scalable cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud. They will possess strong oral and written communication skills, effective time management, attention to detail, and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Experience Required
This classification requires, within the last eight (8) years, minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Senior Backup Solutions Architect, or similar, for data protection systems, such as Comm Vault and Comm Vault Cloud, including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting within enterprise environments; six (6) years of experience with storage solutions from Dell/EMC, IBM, Net App, and Pure Storage, encompassing both midrange and enterprise-class storage arrays;
and seven (7) years of experience using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting cloud-based backup, servers, and storage systems in enterprise settings.
Education Required
This classification requires a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field, and credentials as a Commvault Certified Professional Administrator. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education and Commvault Certified Professional Administrator credentials on a year-for-year basis.
